This Privacy Policy describes how the Indian Students Association – Albania ("ISA Albania", "we", "us") collects, uses, and safeguards personal information submitted through this website. By using this site and applying for membership, you agree to the practices described here.

When you apply for membership, we collect only the information necessary to process your application:

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• University, program, and academic year
• City of residence in Albania (optional)
• A profile photograph (optional but recommended)

We do not collect passport numbers, national ID numbers, residence permit numbers, government identifiers, home addresses, or any other sensitive personal information.

Your information is used solely for:

• Processing and reviewing your membership application
• Issuing and verifying your digital membership card and Member ID
• Communicating with you about events, announcements, and association matters
• Internal record-keeping and audit purposes

Once approved, the following fields may be publicly displayed on the membership verification page:

• Full name
• Member ID
• University
• Program (optional)
• Membership type
• Membership status and validity dates
• Profile photograph (optional)

Never publicly displayed: email address, phone number, city, or any other personal details.

Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure (PostgreSQL database and object storage) hosted in the European Union. We enforce row-level-security policies so that personal information is accessible only to authorized administrators and only when required to perform their role.

Membership data is retained for the duration of your membership and for the subsequent academic year for auditing purposes. Upon request, your data can be deleted by an administrator. Deleting a member record also removes the associated photograph from storage.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

This site uses only essential cookies required for authentication (administrator login) and to serve the application securely. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the website. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
